The appointed candidate is expected to represent the field of Personality Psychology in both research and teaching while further strengthening the research profile of the institute, the faculty and the university’s key research areas.
An internationally recognized research profile in the field of Personality Psychology is required, ideally with connections to Work and Organizational Psychology or Data Science. This should be demonstrated through publications in relevant and internationally renowned journals. Experience in successfully securing external research funding, leadership skills to build and lead a successful team as well as a willingness to actively participate in academic self-governance and contribute to the development of psychology degree programs, is also expected.
The Department of Psychology offers numerous opportunities for collaboration with divisions covering fundamental areas of psychology as well as clinical and non-clinical applied fields. Additionally there are extensive collaboration opportunities within the faculty with institutes in Computer Science and Engineering Sciences as well as with partners in the university’s key research areas: "Life Long Health," "From Data to Knowledge," "Green Energy," and "Quantum Technologies.
In teaching the professorship is expected to represent the field of Personality Psychology in the B.Sc. Psychology program and to regularly contribute to the profile subjects "Personnel, Organization & Work" and "Psychological Data Science" in the M.Sc. Psychology program. The goal is to strengthen the M.Sc. Psychology program and to expand interdisciplinary networking opportunities for psychology within the university.
