Job Posting for Country Office Manager at UniTalent Consulting
Client company is a global logistics company that plans to expand to Europe.
We are seeking experienced bilingual (Chinese & German) Office Manager with deep understanding of the cross-border logistics industry. These roles will be fully responsible for establishing and managing local offices in Germany (serving Western Europe) and Poland (serving Eastern Europe). Candidates must have hands-on experience in setting up company administrative structures from the ground up and ensuring compliant and efficient operations in terms of team building, certifications, and processes.
Key Responsibilities
A. Office Establishment
Lead the registration of local business entities, including commercial approvals and licenses;
Oversee early-stage tasks such as office site selection, staffing, and coordination with finance, tax, and legal services;
Build local teams and develop standardized administrative and operational management procedures.
B. Compliance and Operations
Stay informed of and monitor local laws and regulations related to cross-border logistics;
Coordinate partnerships and communication with local government bodies, customs authorities, and third-party logistics providers.
C. Client Engagement and Daily Support
Liaise with existing clients from China and assist in implementing cross-border projects;
Manage customer service workflows, optimize daily communications and issue resolution processes to improve customer satisfaction.
D. Cross-Team Collaboration
Maintain efficient communication with headquarters in China and provide timely feedback from the front-line market;
Coordinate with product, customer service, and operations teams to drive overseas business forward.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher;
Hands-on experience establishing a local company entity in your country (including business registration, licensing, office setup, etc.);
3 years of experience in the logistics industry, with familiarity in cross-border transportation policies and compliance;
Familiarity with European cross-border logistics policies; experience across multiple Western/Eastern European countries is preferred;
Proficient in Chinese and the local language, fluent English is a strong plus;
Bonus Points
Experience serving Chinese cross-border e-commerce or import/export clients;
Familiarity with CRM systems, after-sales support, order fulfillment, and exception handling processes;
Comprehensive understanding of logistics segments such as customs clearance, warehousing, transshipment, and last-mile delivery.
