As the Head of Onshore Wind Development, you will be responsible for leading the development of our onshore wind energy projects from conception to execution. You will play a critical role in shaping the strategy and driving the success of our wind energy initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the entire lifecycle of onshore wind projects, from site identification, feasibility studies, permitting, and financing to construction and operation.
Develop and implement strategies to expand and grow the company’s onshore wind energy portfolio.
Manage a cross-functional team, ensuring effective collaboration between internal departments, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Engage with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders to ensure successful project development and compliance with local regulations.
Drive project financial performance, including cost management, project budgeting, and risk mitigation.
Conduct market analysis and stay updated on industry trends, policy changes, and emerging technologies.
Champion the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship throughout the development process.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in discussions with key stakeholders, including investors, government entities, and partners.
Required Qualifications:
A proven track record of at least 8 years in wind energy development, with specific experience in onshore wind projects.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams.
In-depth knowledge of the onshore wind development process, including site identification, permitting, project financing, and construction.
Familiarity with environmental, regulatory, and policy frameworks affecting wind energy development.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Strong financial acumen, with experience managing large-scale projects and budgets.
A degree in engineering, environmental science, renewable energy, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
