The Viessmann Generations Group
The Viessmann Generations Group is a global independent family company founded in 1917 driven by one purpose: "Co-creating living spaces for generations to come." The 4th generation of the Viessmann family continues to lead the business, with Maximilian Viessmann serving as CEO — carrying forward the legacy of Johann, Hans, and Martin Viessmann.
Historically in the heating sector, the Viessmann Generations Group is now diversifying its activities. A significant milestone was reached in 2023 when a strategic partnership between Viessmann Climate Solutions and Carrier Global was concluded to create the number one global HVAC solution provider committed to science-based climate targets. This move laid the foundation for a strategic reinvention of the family business in 2024. The Viessmann Generations Group now operates with a long-term investment approach, focusing on co-investments, acquisitions, and minority stakes in the areas of climate, water and food. As of today, the Viessmann Generations Group is supporting 30 mid-sized companies and family businesses that are aligned with its purpose and based mostly in Europe and North-America.
The values of the Viessmann Generations Group have guided the organization for over a century:
- Responsible – We are reliable, success-oriented, and committed to sustainable business practices.
- Team-Oriented – We act fairly, transparently, and with agility, focusing on solutions.
- Entrepreneurial – We are customer-focused, innovative, and technology-driven in our decision-making.
