Role Overview
As a Settlement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions. You will oversee daily reconciliations, manage settlements, and work closely with various stakeholders to maintain smooth operations. Key Responsibilities
Transaction Reconciliation: Oversee the reconciliation of daily transactions to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Settlement Processing: Handle settlements, refunds, and adjustments in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Discrepancy Resolution: Monitor transaction discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams for prompt resolution.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare settlement reports and data analyses to support financial and operational decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with payment processors, banks, and crypto exchanges to facilitate smooth settlement operations.
Workflow Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve settlement workflows, enhance system performance, and mitigate risks.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with local and international regulations, ensuring settlements align with AML, KYC, and financial reporting standards.
Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in settlement operations, financial analysis, or a similar role is preferred.
Analytical Tools: Proficiency in financial and data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar platforms.
Technical Knowledge: Experience with reconciliation and accounting systems; knowledge of blockchain technology is a plus.
