Overview

Who are Pobl Group?

Pobl Group are a proud employer of over 2,300 colleagues providing diverse services and making a difference in communities throughout Wales. Our Care team provides registered care services throughout South Wales at dozens of locations and for a wide range of customers.

Pobl means ‘People’ and people really are at the heart of everything we do. We support some truly amazing people to live positive, independent lives in their own home and help get them where they want to be in life.

How can I make a difference?

In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting two incredible individuals, each with their own unique personality, interests, and goals. Together, these individuals enjoy a wide range of activities—from countryside walks and dancing to music, to watching films, visiting loved ones, and getting involved in the community.

One of the people we support has Down’s Syndrome and a mild learning disability. They love being outdoors and living life to the fullest—whether it’s heading to the gym, enjoying a drama class, playing bowls, or volunteering at a local charity shop. With your support, they can continue developing life skills, building confidence, and staying active in their community.

You’ll also support another individual who has very low support needs but benefits from guidance around budgeting and building independence. Your role will help them prepare for a transition to fully independent living.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in empowering both individuals to lead fulfilling, independent lives, supporting them to:

  • Manage and administer medication safely
  • Develop cooking and other household skills
  • Access local groups and community activities
  • Enjoy meaningful conversations and companionship
  • Complete relevant paperwork to a high standard
  • Budget finances and build money-management skills
  • Have fun while learning—encouraging hobbies and life-enriching activities

  • A team player with great communication skills
  • Someone who’s genuinely passionate about helping others reach their full potential
