Job Posting for Quality Assurance Analyst at Capgemini Engineering
Job purpose: The QA Analyst is responsible for carrying out thorough and efficient testing across accounting applications and projects. The QA Analyst will create accurate test plans and execute against these, ensuring that all issues are raised and managed to completion. The QA Analyst will have an eye for detail and be quality focussed resulting in thorough and well-organized test phases across all projects they work on. The QA Analyst will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure they fully understand system processes and QA is of the highest quality.
Initial contract term: 9 months, with a view to extend
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Plan, schedule and deliver QA of high quality across projects and systems.
Review and feedback on source documents used to create testing artefacts.
Execute testing within defined stage of development e.g. exploratory, regression etc.
Share knowledge and expertise across the wider team and coach Associate QA Analysts.
Take accountability for all test related activities within a test phase.
Produce effective test metrics for the team Manager.
Define appropriate test coverage to mitigate the identified risks.
Demonstrate continuous improvement in your product and system knowledge.
Develop skills and experience of Automation tools.
Identify opportunities for improving Sage testing standards.
Accurately record and communicate issues found during test phases.
Accurately record time spent on tasks.
Keep up to date with relevant testing tools / techniques.
Seek out and act upon feedback from team members.
Skills, know-how and experience:
Essential:
Degree holder (desirable) and / or relevant professional qualification and / or work experience in related role.
2 years professional testing experience.
Exposure to software development lifecycles and testing methodologies.
Must have:
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with drive and ability to work on own initiative.
Ability to work in a team, building strong relationships to maximise collaboration.
Experienced of working in an agile environment.
Ability to translate requirements into test scenarios.
Attention to detail.
Problem solving / self-starting nature – always providing solutions and options.
Calm and methodical approach to conflicting situations.
