The Transition Manager is responsible for orchestrating the seamless migration of processes and activities to the Business Service Centre (BSC). This role involves meticulous planning, effective management, and precise execution to ensure minimal disruption to local business operations. The Transition Manager aims to achieve cost efficiencies and enhance process improvements throughout the transition.
Your main responsibilities:
1. Transition & Project Management
- Lead and manage end-to-end nearshoring and transition projects from planning through execution and stabilization.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Track and report on project progress, risks and outcomes.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local business units during transitions.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across functions to ensure alignment with BSC goals and strategies.
- Provide clear, timely and consistent communication to all parties involved in the transition process.
3. Service Design & Documentation
- Define and document service scope, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct gap analysis between current support models and BSC standard offerings.
- Create and maintain comprehensive service design and transition documentation.
- Identify further opportunities for BSC engagement.
4. Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Coordinate knowledge transfer and training plans to ensure teams are equipped for post-transition operations.
- Support onboarding and upskilling initiatives for BSC teams.
5. Performance & Risk Management
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure transition success and BSC efficiency.
- Identify risks and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
- Diagnose and prioritize operational incidents, investigate causes and drive resolution in coordination with relevant teams.
6. Change Management
- Develop and drive change management plans to ensure adoption and minimize resistance.
- Engage with teams to address resistance and support cultural alignment.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Drive automation, standardization and continuous improvement in collaboration with local and BSC teams.
- Evaluate transition services to ensure sustainable, performance and quality.
Therefore, a successful candidate would have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on process transitions or migrations ;
- SAP S/4 Hana using experience;
- In-dept understanding of service management framework principles and processes;
- Held a similar position within Service Transition for global transformation programs;
- Experience in a Sales & Service environment of a manufacturing company is a plus;
- Experience in a shared services environment and Business Process Outsourcing is a plus;
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, finance, or a similar field & a Master's degree is preferred;
