Your tasks:
- Design, develop, and deploy robust cloud-based services that power the Jungheinrich IoT Platform, working within a self-organized and international team.
- Architect and implement solutions for seamless remote software updates to our fleet of Jungheinrich industrial trucks.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across product and platform domains to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
- Research and evaluate emerging (IoT) technologies and solutions, build proof-of-concepts, and contribute to the strategic decisions for our future platform architecture.
- Drive customer value by developing innovative features for our software products, while also ensuring the reliability and performance of existing systems through ongoing maintenance and operations.
- Maintain a strong business and customer-centric mindset in all aspects of your work.
Your skills:
- You hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, coupled with at least three years of proven professional experience in software development
- You possess strong proficiency in developing high-quality backend software using at least one major programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Kotlin) and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adopt new languages as needed
- You have hands-on experience in building modern web frontends using TypeScript and React.
- You are experienced in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (preferably AWS), utilizing Infrastructure as Code practices with tools like CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- You are a highly conscientious developer with a strong commitment to writing secure, maintainable, and well-tested code, adhering to high quality standards.
- You embrace a mindset of continuous improvement (CI/CD) and are adept at monitoring and optimizing deployed solutions to ensure their stability and performance.
- You are a collaborative team player who thrives in an open-minded, international, and multi-cultural environment, actively participating in code reviews and pairing sessions.
- You have practical experience working with self-organized, agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- You possess a solid understanding of critical performance factors, scalability principles, concurrency management, and system complexity.
- You are fluent in both spoken and written English.
- A strong interest or affinity for IoT technologies and the automotive/vehicle industry is highly desirable.
