The role of the Lead Cloud Application Engineer is an individual contributor in the Production Services team to maintain, finetune, and optimize application deployment and usage based on efficient monitoring. You will focus on supporting applications and infrastructure for OpenText platforms. You will ensure that application solutions are consistent with the overall architecture. The Lead Application Engineer will have the accountability for technical alignment, health and capability of the production and non-production environments. You will be running maintenance tasks such as upgrades, providing technical support, and troubleshooting application-related issues. You have eyes to details to identify practices that can be improved, and you are a team player to works within the team and collaborates with other teams. You will work closely with software development, customer support, and infrastructure teams, and you will provide 2nd level support when needed. On-call rotation will be required for 24x7x365 support of production environments.

What You Need To Succeed
- 5 years of experience in managing applications/system administrations. A degree in computer science or related is preferable.
- Experience in managing Windows servers, Linux servers, and VMware. Build, deploy, maintain, and upgrade OS and applications in the Windows and Linux systems.
- Understanding of software architecture and Microsoft Stack (.Net, C#, SQL and Azure).
- Experience in automation software and scripting (batch, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- Experience in monitoring software and scripting (New Relic, Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, etc.)
- Strong understanding of security, backup and recovery
- Basic understanding of network protocols
