SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Poland. Our client is one of the leading multinational companies in the building materials industry, based in Germany. The company is a producer of building materials and construction systems comprising construction materials for drywall construction, plasterboard, cement boards, mineral fiber acoustic boards, dry mortars with gypsum for internal plaster and cement-based external plaster and insulating materials; glass wool, stone wool, and other insulation materials. They set the benchmark for gypsum-based products and systems, energy-efficient insulation materials, market development, and customer orientation. With 150 production facilities and sales organizations in over 86 countries, it is one of the big players in the market in Europe, the USA, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia.

Business trips to Germany are expected (1 meeting per quarter maximum).

Requirements

• 5 years of experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including virtual networks, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, and more.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Knowledge of containers.
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
• Experience in performance optimization and monitoring of Azure resources.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) to automate the provisioning and configuration of Azure resources.
• Ensure version control and maintainability of infrastructure code to support continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Integrate Azure services into the development and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps for seamless, automated application delivery.
• Set up the CI/CD processes and enhance deployment efficiency on Azure.
• Implement and enforce security best practices in Azure, ensuring cloud resources’ confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Monitor and respond to security vulnerabilities and actively participate in compliance initiatives.
• Optimize the performance of Azure resources, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address issues in the Azure environment.
