The Role

We’re on the hunt for a Senior System Administrator who can manage the design, implementation of the server infrastructure and the management of security solutions, focusing on ensuring the optimal development of information technology activity.

As a System Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our systems. You will support the operations of our online casino platform, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted service to our customers.

The role is on-site, work point: our office in Bucharest.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware and Software:

-Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware

-Manage inventory of IT equipment and ensure timely upgrades and replacements

-In direct contact with the department expecting the new employee in order to have assure a smooth onboarding (account creation on several platforms)

-In charge of full employee setup, Windows setup, Microsoft Account setup, equipment and auxiliaries’ orders (or stock check)

-Provide technical support for hardware issues and coordinate repairs as necessary

-Taking care of software license acquisition

• Server Management:

-Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers

-Manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and data restoration processes

-Ensure optimal performance and reliability of server systems through regular monitoring and maintenance

• Security Management

-Implement and maintain security best practices, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols

-Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks

-Manage security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems

-Assist in maintaining compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR, AML, KYC, and other relevant standards for online casinos

• Backup

-Set up, test, and manage backup systems and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability

-Regularly monitor and verify backup processes to ensure all systems are recoverable in the event of a failure

• Documentation & Reporting

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures

-Provide regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and project statuses to management

What You Bring:

• 5 years of system administration experience
• Knowledge of Romanian and English language (fluent)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field
• Proven hands-on experience with hardware installation, server setup, and maintenance
• Strong knowledge of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux)
• Experience with security protocols and tools (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, encryption)
• Familiarity with essential computer languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and scripting tasks.
• Experience with remote desktop tools (e.g., RDP, SSH) and remote monitoring and management (RMM) software
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management) and ticketing systems
• Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and best practices in data protection.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
