Key Responsibilities: Laboratory Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that laboratory equipment remains in optimal working condition, coordinating maintenance and addressing any operational issues promptly.
Chemical Inventory Management: Oversee the laboratory?s chemical inventory, ensuring a continuous and reliable supply of essential lab consumables and gases by liaising with external vendors.
Procurement Support: Understand the organization?s financial, procurement, and safety policies to assist in drafting procurement documents for laboratory-related acquisitions.
Procurement Process Management: Support the entire procurement cycle, from defining requirements and initiating purchases to completing the goods receipt process.
Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to streamline the goods receipt (GR) process and enhance overall efficiency.
Sustainability and Business Continuity: Support sustainability initiatives and business continuity plans to ensure the organization?s long-term resilience and future readiness.
Ad-Hoc Projects: Assist with special projects as assigned by the team or leadership.
Desired Qualifications: Laboratory Experience: Prior experience working in a wet laboratory, preferably in drug discovery or a related field.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements for BSL2 or synthetic chemistry laboratories is a plus. Knowledge of SS 641, SS 532, Fire Code, BATA, and other relevant regulations would be advantageous.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to addressing challenges, and the ability to adapt to changing needs and environments.

Attention to Detail: A detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in procurement, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
Bachelor degree in biomedical sciences, Operations Management, or a related field with minimum of 3 years working experience.
