Credit Analyst (Banking)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyse and review balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements to evaluate the financial position of potential clients and current borrowers.
• Review credit applications and annual credit assessments, including determining credit ratings for borrowers, and submit for approval.
• Provide independent credit evaluations and recommendations, ensuring adherence to the Branch’s credit policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to meet business objectives while remaining within the established risk parameters.
• Conduct thorough research on key industries and develop branch-specific credit policies tailored to those industries.
• Monitor the performance of corporate loan portfolios to ensure alignment with the bank’s overall credit risk strategies.
• Review and validate the credit decision-making process and credit modeling, identifying areas for improvement.
• Develop or update branch-specific policies and procedures to align with Head Office policies, internal and external audit requirements, and regulatory mandates.
• Address issues raised by auditors and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) related to credit matters.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or its equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years' of credit risk experience on Banking or credit rating agency
• Experience in structured trade and commodity finance, project finance is preferred.
