We are looking for a meticulous individual with strong numerical skills to join a reputable commodity trading firm as an Accountant. The ideal candidate should be well conversant in preparing for closing and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records in line with reporting standards and statutory requirements, including assessing and applying new accounting standards.
Manage monthly closing and consolidation for timely and accurate financial and statutory reporting.
Reconcile ledgers with trading systems and conduct variance analysis on financial results.
Prepare financial reports, accounting schedules, and annual statements.
Support external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with accounting and trading regulations.
Contribute to finance system enhancements and BI tool implementation.
Assist Finance/Senior Accounting Manager with ad-hoc analysis and tasks.
Collaborate across departments to meet company objectives.
May be required to support operations during peak periods like month-end close.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
Proficiency in MS Excel and Sun/Horizon.
A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required.
Capable of handling pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and hands-on with a strong sense of accountability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
