Roles & Responsibilities
Handling in the daily operation of the kitchen, including menu development
Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations
Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.
Checking food and ingredients for freshness.
Arranging and garnishing dishes.
Working well under pressure and within the time limit and able to handle multiple food orders at one time
Ensuring that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
Ensure areas of responsibility are clean, tidy and organize
Assist in monthly inventory counts and record food wastages
Ensure proper hygiene practices are always followed
Storing all food properly
Assist in daily purchasing and receiving of goods.
Helping lead and inspire our kitchen staff with the restaurant manager.
Requirements:
Obtained Food Hygiene Certificate
Proven work experience as Chief Cook
Minimum 6 years’ experience
Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation.
Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes.
Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
