Technician (Filling)

The Technician (Filling) is responsible for operating and maintaining gas filling equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient filling of gas cylinders in compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate gas filling machinery to fill cylinders according to established protocols.
  
• Monitor equipment performance and conduct routine checks to ensure optimal operation.
  
• Perform first-level maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues with filling equipment.
  
• Ensure accurate documentation of filled cylinders, including quantities and batch numbers.
  
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the filling area.
  
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, or a related discipline.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or gas processing environment.
  
• Familiarity with gas filling operations and safety standards.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with preventive maintenance procedures.
  
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to gas handling and cylinder filling.
  
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting purposes.
