Bank Middle Office Specialist - Japanese Speaking (Contract)

• Provide operational support to Fixed Income Credit/Rates sales desks across Asia (primary focus on Japan) covering a range of products including Cash Bonds, US Treasuries, Mortgage-Backed Securities, Futures, and OTC derivatives.
• Perform daily control functions such as trade allocation, CTM affirmation, trade confirmation, SSI management, failed trade handling, and risk management.
• Build and maintain relationships with external clients, acting as the main point of contact for inquiries via email and phone, while assisting with client onboarding and KYC remediation in coordination with internal KYC and AML teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams like Trading Middle Office and Settlement to resolve daily operational issues, and maintain relationships with global partners such as IT, COO, Ops Risk, and Project Management.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, ensure data integrity for clients, and contribute to improving operational efficiency within a controlled environment.
• Participate in UAT and support new product initiatives, while compiling and submitting MIS reports to senior stakeholders.

Job requirements

• Prior Capital Markets industry experience
• Proficiency in Japanese as this role requires you to liaise with Japanese customers
• Bachelor degree in preferably Finance or relevant disciplines with minimum 1-2 years of relevant experiences in a fixed income sales support or back/middle office role
