How This Opportunity Is Different
The Risk Management team plays a crucial role in understanding and evaluating risks while supporting the client’s businesses in managing them. We are responsible for acquiring and maintaining appropriate levels of insurance to match business exposures, including claims management for covered losses.
The APAC Risk Analyst will primarily be responsible for supporting all insurance related activities within Asia.
What The Day Will Look Like
- Maintain database of upcoming acquisitions and disposals to facilitate the placement or cancellation of insurances
- Preparation of underwriting submissions
- Ensure underwriting information is accurately captured, verified and recorded
- Assist with policy renewals
- Provide guidance and assistance to local teams for quotes, claims, evidence of insurance coverage and other ad hoc queries
- Liaise with finance team, brokers and insurers to track and monitor premium status.
- Maintain Risk Management records and databases
- Support the APAC Risk Manager with checking monthly invoice declarations, monitoring risk improvements status and any other assigned tasks.
- Assist the APAC Risk Manager with the development of new guidelines and updates to existing insurance framework
- Provide periodic reporting to Risk Management, Chicago
- Identify training and education needs of local teams
Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success
- Relevant Insurance experience
- Relevant education qualifications such as ACII or ANZIIF would be beneficial but not required
- Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders in a professional manner
- Ability to ask well-constructed questions in an environment which requires ongoing learning and development
- Ability to use initiative and multitask, complete tasks to deadlines
- Ability to assess, and complete, work with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to understand and retain insurance related terms, processes, products and regulations
- Efficient use and knowledge of IT technology
