Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support electrical engineering projects by assisting with the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and solutions. You will collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to the successful delivery of electrical engineering tasks and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
Support senior engineers in conducting feasibility studies, electrical load analysis, and system evaluations.
Assist with the preparation and review of technical specifications, blueprints, and design drawings.
Perform electrical calculations and simulations using engineering software (e.g., MATLAB, AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP).
Support the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components.
Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate electrical systems with other components of projects.
Provide technical support for ongoing operations, ensuring efficient system functionality.
Assist in preparing project budgets, timelines, and progress reports.
Ensure adherence to electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
Document and maintain records of designs, technical reports, and maintenance activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2 years of relevant experience or successful completion of an internship in electrical engineering.
Proficiency in electrical engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, ETAP).
Solid understanding of electrical theory, circuit design, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with power distribution systems, motor control systems, and electrical panels.
Familiarity with renewable energy systems and technologies.
Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, or other automation/control systems.
Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Certification or coursework in safety practices for electrical engineering.
