Job Posting for Project Manager/Senior Project Manager (PMO Officer) at Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT)
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the Infocomm Technologies domain (including Cyber Security, Software Engineering and Data Analytics) and enjoy collaborating with engineers to work on emerging technologies. We are seeking highly skilled and motivated candidates for the Project Management Office (PMO) to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project management governance standards, processes and workflows to ensure projects are executed efficiently and aligned with organizational goals. The candidate should have a strong background in project management; supporting multiple large projects with complex project planning, budgeting and monitoring project progress.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient utilization of resources, lead discussions amongst multiple internal stakeholders and external vendors, recommend best practices and implement them across projects to ensure delivery of project outcomes within budget and time constraints.
Responsibilities
Oversee the management of large complex projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and project requirements.
Planning: Coordinate with project engineering teams in project planning, to understand requirements, timeline and determine resources required (software, hardware, manpower).
Resource Procurement: Determine and execute the best procurement approach for obtaining project resources, including contracting, evaluation and negotiation.
Process Improvement: Analyse challenges in existing processes, workflows, templates and seek innovative solutions to be implemented.
Monitoring: Monitor capability development within our organization and support strategy discussions. Tracking and updating project metrics and progress to senior management.
Project Control: Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Budgeting: Oversee budget planning and monitoring across multiple projects.
Configuration control: Maintain project documentation, lessons learnt and best practices.
Build relationship and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders, both internal and external.
Provide consultancy to the engineering teams on project management matters.
Requirements
Degree in Infocomm Security, Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Strong interest and passion for the field of Infocomm Technologies.
Self-motivated, resourceful, and independent with problem-solving skills.
Good attention to details.
Effective communications skills for stakeholder management, conflict management and negotiation.
Familiarity with PM tools (e.g. MS Project, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Sharepoint, dashboards, etc.).
Familiarity with procurement methods.
Familiarity with PM standards (e.g. PMI PMP, CITPM) and/or PM methodologies (e.g. Agile/Waterfall) would be a bonus.
Senior positions available to those with proven experience in project management or PMO related roles, preferably in resource planning, budgeting and capability development.
