Machine Operator / Production Operator (North / Construction)

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor automated precast production machinery
• Load and unload materials such as steel mesh, rebar, formwork, and concrete into designated machines or stations.
• Follow daily production schedules and work instructions to ensure output meets design specifications.
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on machinery to reduce downtime and detect abnormalities.
• Record machine parameters and production data using digital tools (e.g., tablets, MES systems, RFID tracking).
• Assist the QA/QC team in verifying dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and tolerance compliance.
• Ensure machinery operates according to WSH and MOM safety guidelines, wearing proper PPE and using lock-out/tag-out when needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the Maintenance or Engineering team promptly.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, lean manufacturing, and digital upgrades.

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum Nitec / Higher Nitec in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience (1–2 years) operating automated or semi-automated production equipment, preferably in precast or construction manufacturing.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery, robotics, and industrial automation systems is highly advantageous.
