Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software applications
• Deliver clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices, including secure coding standards and design patterns.
• Demonstrate strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, ensuring efficient root cause analysis and resolution of complex issues.
• Integrate and deploy Windows and web-based applications seamlessly across multiple banking systems and platforms.
• Actively contribute to Agile/SCRUM development cycles, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, infrastructure, operations, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-performing and reliable features.
• Ensure robust application security by implementing VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing) practices throughout the SDLC, utilizing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, and Fortify, with a strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Apply best practices in system monitoring, logging, and error handling to maximize system uptime and enable proactive issue resolution.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise-level software development, preferably in banking or financial industry
• Technical skills in Java and .NET Framework/.NET Core within the Visual Studio environment.
• Proven experience in designing and developing web applications, with a strong command of object-oriented design and architecture patterns.
• Expertise in relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle PL/SQL, with the ability to optimize queries and maintain data integrity.
• Practical knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Shell scripting for automation and deployment.
• Strong familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies, including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Proven experience in Windows Server administration and cloud support, including deployment, monitoring, patching, and upgrade management.
• Proficiency in source code and version control tools such as SVN (GitHub and Team Foundation Server (TFS) knowledge is a plus).
• Experience in preparing, executing, and automating test cases across different system environments to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Skilled in incident response, including root cause analysis (RCA), impact assessments (IA), escalation handling, and managing hotfix deployments.
• Working knowledge of banking systems and collaboration tools such as IBM Lotus Notes.
• Familiarity with system monitoring, logging, and error-handling best practices to ensure uptime and proactive issue resolution.
