1. BASIC FUNCTION:
  • To liaise with customers both internal and external, to achieve the KPIs set for transport operations.
  • To plan and execute daily works efficiently, and achieve high productivity and accuracy
  • To observe and give feedback on the process for optimization and improvements
  • To train and supervise a team
  • To be able to be accountable to the P&L for the division/customer.
  • Able to plan and lead operation projects from start till end
  • Able to handle cross border trucking and documentation.

2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists the Department Manager to enforce all standing policies and procedures as established.
  • Ensures all rules and regulations are strictly complied with.
  • Prepares and submits all necessary reports and documents to the Department Manager on time.
  • Maintains proper records of documents and correspondence.(Both internal and external)
  • Maintains and upkeeps of working equipment and tools properly.
  • Respond to enquires promptly
  • Diligent and meticulous
  • Carry out other assigned duties by Superiors or Management
  • Excellent skills in Excel to cope with Data analysis and presentation (Conversant with Pivot Tables)
  • Checks and monitors staff attendance and punctuality, takes corrective actions if necessary.
  • Prepares and checks on staff overtime, meal and transport claims.
  • Maintains record of annual leave, medical leave and all other leaves.
  • Assists in all staff welfare related matters, such as medical claims, collection of payslips.
  • Assists to prepare the necessary documents for staff resignation and submit the relevant documents to the Department Manager on time.
  • Assists to organize recreational activities for staff in order to motivate the workforce.
  • Assists all staff in their queries on personnel or operational matters.
  • Supervises subordinates in their daily work.
  • Trains, motivates and develops staff in improving their skills, knowledge and attitude.
  • Ensures neat appearance and proper conduct of section personnel.
  • Conducts performance appraisal review for all staff in the section for confirmation, promotion and annual review
  • Team and hands on player
  • Enforces security and safety measures and guidelines in the section.
  • Ensures proper control as established in existing policies and procedures.
  • Takes preventive measures to prevent shrinkage and undertakes measures to reduce shrinkage.
  • Conducts surprise checks on drivers in order to minimize misuse of vehicles and to check the adherence to safety
  • Lead accident /incident reporting with Corrective and Preventive measure
