Assistant Electrical Engineer (Part-time)

Description:

• Contribute to bid preparation and project execution for onshore/offshore wind power, solar power, ammonia and hydrogen production projects.
• Undertake engineering design and support preparation of drawings in line with project specifications.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Become familiar with FPSO topside and Offshore Substation design.
• Become familiar with applicable industry codes and standards, and classification requirements.
• Carry out energy output analysis of wind farms using windPRO software.
• Assist in development of electrical load list and single line diagrams.
• Assist in preparation for request for quotations, and evaluation of bids submitted by partners/subcontractors.
• Assist in technical analysis and development.
• Attend technical meetings, and minutes down the meeting, if required.
• Keep track of relevant discipline tasks.
• Comply with environmental impact assessment and safety-related design requirements.
• Documentation in accordance with Company’s quality management system.
• Responsible for personal safety, safe working practices, and understand and follow HSE procedures.

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Engineering Degree course (Electrical or related disciplines) at a local university.
• Aptitude and attitude to learn and experience process engineering requirements, software tools, and other technical issues.
• Ability to obtain, interpret and apply relevant information for formulating sound engineering solutions under the supervision of senior staff.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
• Knowledge in wind farm high voltage and SCADA design will be advantageous.
Previous use of AutoCAD or other 2D / 3D software will be advantageous.
