System Engineer

A global manufacturing firm is looking for a System Eningeer to join their team. Manage enterprise-level Windows servers for on-prem and Azure cloud and security vulnerabilities.

Your new role:

• Configure, deploy and manage on-premise Windows servers including Active Directory, DNS, group policies etc
• Monitor and optimize system performance and availability, troubleshooting and resolving issues across the Windows ecosystem.
• Implement, manage, and monitor cloud-based solutions in Azure, including M365, Azure AD, Virtual Machines, and ensure seamless integration between on-premises Windows systems and Azure resources.
• Apply knowledge of Windows security protocols to secure communications across applications and systems.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with any security vulnerabilities, certificate management, and encryption practices.

You will need:

• Prior experience in a similar role managing Windows system and server infrastrcuture on a global scale, idealing working with IaaS and PaaS operations
• Sound technical knowledge on Windows infrastructure (e.g. Windows Server 2016/2019/2022) and Azure cloud services and best practices for hybrid environments
• Experience writing scripts for automation in powershell is preferred as is familiarity with Windows security frameworks (e.g., zero trust, CIS and more)
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or Solutions Architect Expert is a strong advantage
