COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Re:Nue is the social enterprise arm of The Salvation Army. By re-using, recycling and restoring donations in kind from the public and corporations, it generates income through its Family Stores to support our mission to provide holistic care to the community.

Re:Nue also strives to assist humanitarian needs in times of crisis and emergency, leveraging its logistics network to deliver aid to crisis areas in the region quickly and efficiently.

Working closely with local and international organisations, Re:Nue engages them in meaningful programmes for their corporate social responsibility initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the overall financial accounting and management reporting
• Oversee the daily finance operations and review to improve existing operating processes
• Ensure timely month end closing including journal entries, accounts receivables and accounts payables
• Prepare monthly reports and annual operating budgets
• Provide analysis of results and trends, possible improvements, areas of risk and any key issues relating to the business
• Ensure compliance with organisation policies, boards' decisions, Financial Reporting Standards and government statutory legislations
• Evaluate the accounting and internal control systems, offering recommendations to prevent possible fraud and errors
• Review and asses the audit findings from the internal and external auditors, ensuring that all exceptions and issues are addressed
• Support Management in planning and control cycles including strategic plan, budgeting, forecasting, monthly analyses, and interpretation of results
• Monitor risks that could threaten the liquidity of the organisation and ensure risk management control

• Degree in Accountancy with ACCA/CPA/CA
• At least 8 years of experience in a similar role
• Good knowledge and experience in finance, audit, taxation, accounting and budgeting
• Meticulous with strong organisational and leadership abilities
• Technically competent with strong analytical & problem solving skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Working Days Per Week: 5 days/44 hours

Work Hours: 8..30am to 5.30pm
