Job Description:
Inspect outgoing parts and incoming sub-contracted parts based on the inspection procedures and specifications. Perform Incoming Process Inspections.
Keep quality records and organize quality data.
Report any quality problems to the QA Manager and Factory Manager/Production Manager/Assistant Production Manager for action.
Make sure non-conforming products are not mixed with good products before they are addressed.
Approve the rejection of parts that do not meet quality standards.
Approve the release of good parts for storage and delivery to customers.
Perform routine tests and checks on switchboards completed in the workshop.
Test and commission switchboards on vessels or on-site to meet customer needs. Handle warranty claims and quality complaints.
Conduct official tests on switchboards that need to be witnessed by surveyors or consultants, and possibly customers.
Help the Manager with quality responsibilities and meeting quality goals.
Keep the QA Department clean and organized.
Follow safety rules when doing any task.
Make sure calibrated instruments are used for inspection.
Take action to prevent product issues.
Find, recommend, or provide solutions to problems.
Check if solutions are working and being applied.
Control the processing and delivery of non-conforming products until issues are fixed.
Do other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Follow the Quality Management System procedures for effective control and implementation.
Job Requirements:
A Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (strictly electrical).
Prefer 2 years of QA experience in the marine or industrial field.
Experience in testing switchboards/panels is an advantage.
Willing to work onboard the vessel, and travel occasionally. Oversea travel allowance will be given.
Compensation:
5-days work week: 8.15am to 5.45pm
14 days annual leave
14 days medical leave
