[What you will be working on]

As part of LTA’s dynamic team that strengthens and deepens rail engineering competencies for the local workforce, you will work closely with LTA Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and partners on the planning, development and enhancement of the technical competency requirements, curriculum, and instructional contents. This will include engaging the industry to better understand the sector’s training needs, facilitating meetings and workshops, and developing the curriculum. In addition, you will be involved in exploring and developing technologies and/or innovative methods to enhance the learning experiences (such as e-learning, augmented reality, artificial intelligence), and managing the delivery of training efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities:
  • Working with operators, suppliers, contractors, industry partners, LTA user divisions, etc. to develop content for technical training for re-skilling and up-skilling the rail workforce
  • Keeping abreast of railway engineering standards and technologies, including the design, build, operations and maintenance requirements
  • Fostering and maintaining good relationships with relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the rail industry (both locally and globally), including sourcing for railway experts to deliver talks, seminars and training programmes
  • Enhancing pedagogy and delivery using technology in learning, for example authoring tools for e-Learning, Virtual and Augmented Reality, game-based learning

[What we are looking for]

  • Well-grounded in the theory and practice of competency-based training, such as familiarity with Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ), Skills Framework (SFw) and implementing competency frameworks.
  • With 10 years of relevant working experience.
  • Certification (e.g. ACTA, ACLP) and experience working in a Training & Development environment (instructional design, evaluation, assessment) will be advantageous.
  • Strong writing, analytical, presentation, communication, coordination and interpersonal skills with attention to details.
  • Team player and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior working experience in railway engineering, system design, operations and maintenance is preferred
  • As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment
