Job Scope:
In a challenging and multicultural environment, we seek an IT Application Project Manager to join our client's Corporate Banking IT Department (CBI). CBI design and manage the ICBS (International Core Banking System) as well as Cash Management and Loan & Trade solutions.
As an IT Application Project Manager, you will work closely with sponsors, business units worldwide, and global IT teams mainly within Singapore and Paris and you will:
- Manage the projects across various portfolios of the ICBS for multiple applications related to in-house Client Account Management, Expenses Management, Referential & Transverse applications and various back office applications.
- Work with IT management to improve the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying and updating software and environments.
- Ensure the assigned projects, activities and tasks are delivered within the defined time, scope, cost and quality.
Main responsibilities:
- Engage with the sponsors and counterparts from the headquarters in Paris to build, maintain, and follow-up on the annual ICBS roadmap.
- Identification of risks and propose mitigation / contingency plans by liaising with the relevant stakeholders from headquarters in Paris.
- Build action plan with the relevant stakeholders from the headquarters in Paris to address project constraints and challenges.
- Monitor and control the progress of the project end-to-end and respect planning, budget and scope.
- Manage the projects and resources linked to the modules under your responsibility.
- Ensure that all activities under your responsibility are performed on schedule within quality standards.
- Make sure the project team observe and respect the bank's code of conduct.
- Provide KPI to management including risks and issues, budget follow-up, planning and scope, and escalate as necessary to the senior management to remove roadblocks
- Orchestrate sprint planning / closure, retro and monitor team velocity.
- Act as an SME to provide guidance on best practices, banking standards and regulatory requirements.
- Define and propose action plans required to secure the delivery.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Project Manager or Product Manager in a banking IT system.
Technical:
- Excellent knowledge on Oracle E-Business Suite and business intelligence tools.
- Good knowledge on data migration and ETL (extract, transform and load).
- Good experience in MS Project, MS Office or any project management tool.
- Analysis methods and technologies such as UML.
- Understanding of banking architecture.
Functional:
- Good knowledge on project management practices (PMP, Agile).
- Solid understanding and experience in core banking platforms.
- Good knowledge on Accounting and IFRS 9 norms.
- Knowledge on all phases of IT system design, development and implementation lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Capability to adapt and provide brief overview of the project to the stakeholders.
- Strives to deliver the solution in the most effective and timely manner.
- Work on complex systems in a challenging international matrix environment.
- Experience in global and local regulatory reporting frameworks, including FATCA, SDIC, MAS, HKMA DPS, FGDR, AML.
- Good understanding of Trade Finance and Capital Market products.
Other Professional Skills and Mindset:
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication skills in English and French (CEFR Level B1/B2 or equivalent) is mandatory to liaise with counterparts from both local office and Paris.
- Project Management certification is desirable (PMP, Agile, etc.).
- Capable to effectively interact with functional and technical teams.
- Experience in working with multigeography and multicultural teams.
- Awareness of various software development procedures.
- Possess team spirit, like explain and share knowledge.
- Understanding and respect of cultural diversity.
