Job Responsibilities
Discuss and work with System Analysts to understand and analyse user/business/system functional requirements to determine the delivery requirements.
Conduct risk assessment to examine, evaluate existing vs. to-be processes, determine and identify any technical constraints and limitations to the proposed solutions. Design technical solutions based on Functional Specification Document.
Build solutions based on Technical Specification and conduct unit tests to ensure quality of development. Conduct code review for junior team members and vendors.
Create or review documents related to system release or deployment.
System Testing: Support test activities to ensure all errors reported are resolved timely. Assist in integration test and user acceptance test.
Create or review documents related to system release or deployment.
Incident support: Provide technical support in resolving incidents. Conduct root cause analysis and manage stakeholder expectations.
Timely escalate issues to Team Lead/ Team Head of any challengers and issues.
Enhance IT capabilities through automation / adoption of new emerging/disruptive technologies such as Containerization, Cloud, AI, etc.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experiences.
Min. 5 years of working experience in application development, including Java-based application.
Experienced and in-depth knowledge in docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and public cloud.
Experienced and in-depth knowledge in designing and implementing web-based application.
Experienced and has strong knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle database, MS SQL, DB2, MySQL, etc.
Experienced and good knowledge in Dev-Ops and workflow/process automation system would be an added advantage.
Experience and knowledge in emerging technologies such as RPA, AI, Data Analytics, etc, would be an added advantage.
