Job Description:
This role delivers excellent post-onboarding client and prospect engagement, ensuring seamless access to and delivery of key resources from across Maybank Group’s business. It is responsible for crafting and executing bespoke client solutions that enhance the client experience while optimizing resource allocation to drive business growth, operational excellence, and client profitability. With a strong focus on strategic client and prospect engagement, this role also facilitates cross-departmental coordination to maximize value and strengthen client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Client Experience Enhancement
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to elevate the client experience, driving high levels of client satisfaction and engagement, growth of balances and income.
- Work in line with client tiering and coordinate with assigned senior coverage and liaise as a primary contact for key clients and important prospects, ensuring their needs are promptly addressed and solutions are provided.
- Deliver customized solutions and implement initiatives that align with client goals and needs,
- Re-engage dormant and low-activity accounts with the aim of revitalizing trading activity.
- Encourage cross product offering between asset classes and upselling of services.
Business Development & Sales Support
- Partner with sales teams on business development initiatives and client onboarding processes.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance client acquisition and retention
- Support and assist with system or process enhancement initiatives. Help build these asks into any onboarding or pre-go-live work
- Provide strategic oversight of resource allocation across Prime Brokerage clients to maximize client service and operational efficiency.
- Partner with sales and Client Management to track and quantify success (New mandates, balances and income) generated by CAS activities.
- Partner with Client Managment to manage dormant clients, target being to either re-activate or offboard.
Cross-Department and Regional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), in SG and regional teams to ensure integrated client service and communication. Help coordinate Roadshows, Indications of Interest through to allocations.
- Promote cross-departmental product recommendations, delivering customized solutions across the firm’s offerings.
- Collaborate with Institutional, Retail and other regional business units to ensure effective prioritization and deployment of resources.
- Corporate Access: Manage client invitations to events, facilitating interactions between clients and corporates.
- Research: Responsible for distribution of research to clients, aligned with interests and enhancing their investment decisions.
- Liaise with Regional Maybank offices whenever opportunities arise; build internal relationship and support networks for growing income from regional office clients into Prime products.
Events Strategy and Planning
- Lead Event Strategy for Maybank Prime Brokerage, working with events team to execute high-impact, client-centric events to strengthen relationships and grow income.
- Develop and utilize a comprehensive matrix to quantify the success of each event. This matrix may include client attendance, level of engagement, feedback scores, the number of follow-up actions taken, conversion of leads into clients, and overall impact on client retention and satisfaction.
- Formulate and implement follow-up actions post-events. Track all client interactions and follow up for further business. This will include personal follow-ups and setting up specific meetings about opportunities identified at events.
- Liaise with Marketing and Events Management on calendar, budget and MSSG events and social media plan.
Qualifications and skillset requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Dynamic and experienced relationship manager with 3 to 6 years of experience in client facing, account management or in a similar role.
- Experience working with any of the asset classes like equities, CFDs, F&O, FX, funds, fixed income
- Have experience handling Hedge Funds, Institutional Clients, Family Offices (SFO/MFO) client types, External Asset Managers (EAM), Financial Institution and High Net Worth Individuals
- An excellent communicator at all levels with external/internal clients and service providers.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

The successful candidate will be required to be MAS licensed with CMFAS Modules 1A, 2A, 5, 6 and 6A (equivalent New modules effective 1 April 2024, Modules RES 1A, RES 2A, RES 5, CM-EIP, CM-SIP).
