AVP / VP, Prime Brokerage Operations

Maybank Securities is a leading brokerage house and investment bank in ASEAN. Maybank Securities provides services in corporate finance, debt markets, equity capital markets, derivatives, retail and institutional securities broking and research.

Prime Brokerage Operations is responsible for the end to end process of Trade Life Cycle; including Static and Reference Data, Trade Processing, Settlement, Reconciliation and Corporate Actions across all asset classes.

Responsibilities

• BAU processing of department functions. Required to work early shift and rostered Public Holidays.
• Day to day supervision of processing activities, including issue resolution and escalation
• Management, leadership and staff development of the team
• Manage resources to effectively deliver BAU functions, require hands-on work and provide coverage for team members
• Partnering with Head of Department to design and implement effective team strategy
• Identify process deficiencies and facilitate system enhancement and process improvement
• Support and manage Prime Brokerage and Department projects and initiatives
• Documentation of business requirements and functional specifications

Requirements

• 10 years in Brokerage or Investment Banking Operations
• 7 or more years in mid-management capacity
• Good product and market knowledge across different asset classes, in particular in Equities and Securities
• Knowledge and experience of US QI preferred
• Prior experience in system roll-out preferred
