Software Engineer - JAVA / C#

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join my clients dynamic team. The client is a leading banking institution in Singapore. The client are moving applications from C# to Java so the ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and a previous backgroud in C#.NET full stack development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java APIs in a microservices architecture.
• Engage in full stack development using Microsoft and Java technologies, including DotNet, C#, and Visual Studio.
• Utilize container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift for application deployment and management.
• Work with messaging middleware platforms like Solace and Tibco to ensure reliable and efficient communication between services.
• Implement automated testing techniques using tools like Selenium and Cucumber.
• Apply Agile methodologies and participate in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Collaborate with team members to break down work, plan, and execute tasks effectively.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5 years of experience in Java development, specifically in writing solid Java APIs in a microservices environment.
• 3 years of experience in full stack development with Microsoft C#.NET, including Visual Studio.
• Proficiency with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Experience with messaging middleware platforms like Solace and Tibco.
• Strong expertise in programming against databases like Sybase and Oracle.
• Strong understanding of automated testing techniques, including Selenium and Cucumber.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
• Excellent teamwork skills, including work breakdown, planning, and execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages and frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
