Java Solutions Engineer (Permanent, Banking)

• Collaborate with technical analysts to understand and assess user, business, and system functional requirements, translating them into delivery specifications.
• Perform risk analyses to compare current and proposed processes, identify technical challenges or constraints, and design effective technical solutions based on the Functional Specification Document.
• Develop solutions aligned with the Technical Specification, conduct unit testing to ensure code quality, and review code written by junior developers and third-party vendors; also prepare or validate documentation for system releases or deployments.
• Assist in system testing by resolving reported issues promptly, support integration testing and user acceptance testing, and participate in the preparation or review of release and deployment documentation.
• Deliver technical support for incident management, perform root cause analysis, manage stakeholder communications, and escalate critical issues to the Team Lead or Team Head as needed.
• Drive enhancements to IT capabilities through automation and the implementation of new technologies such as containerization, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 8 years of experience in application development, particularly with Java-based systems, and a strong background in designing and building web applications. Deep familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, public cloud platforms, and a solid grasp of DevOps and process automation tools.
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with relational database management systems, including Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, MySQL, and others.
• Experience with or knowledge of cutting-edge technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Data Analytics is highly desirable.
