Wintel Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Wintel Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Windows Server environments, VMware administration, server hardware, storage systems, and Azure cloud. This role involves both operational support and project-based initiatives, with a strong emphasis on system integrity, performance, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a distributed Windows Server landscape.
• Ensure compliance, integrity, and high performance across infrastructure systems.
• Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Servers and Microsoft Cluster Services.
• Manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi, vCenter, and Update Manager.
• Provide hands-on support for HPE server hardware, including firmware updates, remote management, and hardware upgrades.
• Administer and support NetApp storage systems (WAFL, NFS, iSCSI, SMB/CIFS).
• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, managed databases).
• Monitor and resolve IT support tickets, emails, and hotline inquiries in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Update documentation and support Level 3 services for niche infrastructure areas.
• Assist with Singapore data center operations and vendor support coordination.

Skills Required:

• 5–7 years of experience managing Windows Server environments (latest two versions).
• Expertise in troubleshooting, clustering, and Hyper-V.
• -Strong knowledge of installation and configuration best practices.
• 5–7 years of experience with ESXi, vCenter, virtual machine technology.
• Proficient in PowerCLI and command-line troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of storage protocols related to VMware.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with server hardware (preferably HPE).
• Skilled in remote server management, firmware updates, and field-replaceable unit (FRU) guidance.
• 5 years of experience managing NetApp storage systems.
• Strong knowledge of WAFL, NFS, iSCSI, SMB/CIFS.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT security concepts.
• 1–2 years of experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• Practical experience using Azure CLI, PowerShell, and the Azure Portal.
• Basic understanding of Azure NSGs, RBAC, and API keys.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP (IPv4), VLANs, trunking, and access control lists (ACLs).
• Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
• Experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
• Experience managing vendor support tickets (NetApp, Microsoft, VMware, HPE).
