Junior Data Center Facility Engineer (12-hour Shifts)

Shift Pattern:Rotating 12-hour shifts (2 days on, 2 days off)

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Center Facility Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role involves providing 24/7 monitoring and management of the technical infrastructure of our data center facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation and maintenance of critical data center environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participate as a team member in the continuous 24/7 monitoring of the data center facility, ensuring optimal operation of all technical infrastructure.
• Manage the Visitor Management System by registering users and ensuring proper access protocols to the data center.
• Immediately address and resolve deviations, alarms, and incidents to minimize downtime and ensure system integrity.
• Collaborate with the Floor Manager in implementing customized operational changes (e.g., connecting power racks, re-routing cables, etc.).
• Monitor and report on power consumption, proactively notifying of any overruns or potential issues.
• Assist in the development and execution of annual maintenance and management plans, including monitoring end-of-life equipment and facilitating major changes or upgrades.
• Conduct both corrective and preventive maintenance, ensuring that incidents are addressed promptly and safety protocols are followed.
• Provide regular maintenance planning and oversight of facility engineers to ensure timely and efficient execution.
• Develop and provide risk analyses, scripts, and documentation for planned maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with risk management procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, perform incident and safety reports, and promote a safe working environment for all personnel.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in data center operations, facility maintenance, or a similar technical role is preferred.
• Basic understanding of data center infrastructure, including power systems, cooling, and rack management.
• Knowledge of incident management and problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to alarms and incidents in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and management.
• Understanding of safety protocols and risk management processes.
• Ability to follow detailed operational plans and maintain accurate documentation.
• Flexibility to work rotating 12-hour shifts (2 days on, 2 days off) as required.
