Director (Manufacturing Operations, Semiconductor)

The client of mine is a reputable Global Conglomerate with presence across America, Europe and Asia Pacific. With a strong track record of developing innovative products within the Semiconductor Industry, they believe in constantly improving their processes to come up with cutting edge technologies to further enhance their products hence they are currently hiring an experience Director of Manufacturing to be based here in Singapore.

This role provides executive leadership for a major manufacturing and supply chain function within a large, complex business unit. You are responsible to oversee multiple sites, managing production and budgets, optimizing resource use, and ensuring on-time delivery. You are the key pillar to drive continuous improvement plans, implement new technologies, and enhances efficiency and quality across all manufacturing sites. Strong stakeholder management across all levels and with a strong proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and minimize potential business risks at a Global level.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. To Lead continuous improvement initiatives and projects aimed at optimizing production methods and processes to deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations in a cost-efficient way.
2. To Lead functional operations at multiple manufacturing sites such as establishing and monitoring production across all sites.
3. To plan and evaluate optimal resource utilization and efficiency of operation to minimize costs and maximise efficiency.
4. Collaborate closely with the members of Senior and Executive Management to align overall business objective/opportunities.
5. Strong stakeholder management in a Matrix reporting structure.

Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
• 13 to 15 years of experience within a manufacturing or EMS sectors
• Demonstrated success in overseeing global supply chain functions and implementing strategic improvements.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of building and inspiring high-performing teams.
• Skilled negotiator with outstanding communication abilities.
• Able to excel in dynamic, fast-moving business environments.
