Process Assistant Engineer (Tuas)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Process Specialist 1 (PS1)

Reports to: Hing Aik Keng

Functional Relationships with: Product Process Engineering / Production / Manufacturing Engineering / Maintenance

POSITION PROFILE
Based in: Tuas

Successful candidate will: Assist process engineers in process engineering activities and report writing. He / she is objective driven, self-discipline, and able to work independently.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the collection of engineering data.
• Assist in machine conditioning activities.
• Assist in analyzing product rejects/failures, identifying the root causes, and suggesting improvements.
• Support machine error investigation.
• Assist engineers in conducting hypothesis tests, engineering evaluations and measurements.
• Support engineering reports writing and preparation.
• Document and report individual activity and progress to engineer/supervisor.

COMPETENCY /ABILITY REQUIRED

• Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/industrial/Manufacturing engineering preferred.
• Candidate with process engineering experience preferred.
• Knowledge in engineering statistic will be a plus.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good in communication skills. Able to interact with all levels personnels.
• Good in time management and able to work multi-tasking.
• Possesses teamwork spirit with open mind and positive attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
• Knowledge in SPC will be a plus.
• Fresh graduate will also be considered.
