Your role
Our major Oil and Energy Downstream Client is urgently looking for Control System Engineer who will be part of Manufacturing Engineering Division, under the Instrument Engineering department. You will be part of the team responsible for the site Decentralized Control System (DCS) and Instrumented Protective System (IPS) upgrading and improvement project. This involves:
- Configuration of alarm server and alarm database, alarm priority
- Configuration of Plant Resource Manager (PRM) including installation of all plug-ins, KPI Reports
- Configuration of Foundation Fieldbus & Hart field instruments in DCS and PRM
- Configuration of OPC gateway (for PACE, PI, Dynamo ACM) and Modbus interconnection with 3rd party PLCs (Siemens, Bentley Nevada, BKV, Woodward, System1, GE etc)
- Configuration of operator graphics and monitoring trends
- Configuration and testing of control logic functionality, first up alarm, alarm off delay
- Optimize system resource through configuration and setup
- Planning for mitigation plans for the execution
You will ensure proper documentation and records as well as following the management of change process. You will also be required to provide technical support for maintenance to ensure the control system performance and reliability meet the design requirement to ensure stable operation.
You will be expected to work closely with Operation team, various discipline engineers and vendors as well as participate in activities like Factory Acceptance Test/Site Acceptance Test for DCS and IPS systems and commissioning support.
You are what we are looking for if you:
- Have minimum 7 years of relevant system engineering experience with DCS and IPS
- Are proficient with Yokogawa & Honeywell DCS and IPS software/application engineering with minimum 4 years of hands-on experience
- Have experience working on complex automation system projects engineering and implementation
- Have proven, hands-on system upgrading experience
- Are well-versed with system engineering standards and best practices
- Have at least 3 years of working in an oil and gas manufacturing process or related projects, preferably
- Are familiar with 3rd party system like Bentley Nevada & BKV (vibration monitoring), Siemens & ABB (Electrical), QMI (Gas Chromatograph/ GC), Flow Computers, etc., preferably
- Have experience in Oil Tanking/Movement system / Terminal’s DCS system, preferably
- Are able to remain focus and manage stress under tight timeline
- Are able to manage work priorities and deliver results independently
- Have good communication skills and a team player
