IT Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with expertise in Command and Control (C2) systems to lead software development and system deployment projects. This role involves managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery within budget while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver software development and system deployment projects aligned with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and tracking progress.
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as product owners, business analysts, development teams, and clients to ensure project alignment.
• Implement strategies for managing critical project phases, risk mitigation, and escalation processes.
• Conduct regular status meetings and prepare comprehensive reports on project health, risks, and milestones.
• Oversee system deployment activities, ensuring thorough testing and operational readiness per specifications.
• Apply project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) to optimize execution efficiency.
• Ensure proper change management processes and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor team members to foster collaboration and achieve project goals effectively.
• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies while providing timely solutions and escalating as needed to senior leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management for software development and system deployment projects.
• Strong expertise in Command and Control (C2) systems preferred; experience managing high-stakes or complex projects is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and deployment processes.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team leadership across diverse groups.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments while maintaining focus on deliverables.
• PMP or ScrumMaster certifications preferred; additional experience in DevOps practices is a plus.
• Experience with system integration, cloud platforms, enterprise software solutions, and risk management strategies highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude with the ability to adapt methodologies to meet unique project needs.
