The National University of Singapore’s NUS Environmental Research Institute (NERI) is seeking a motivated and capable Research Fellow to lead and support cutting-edge research on microbial assessments of marine biofouling. This position will focus on the early-stage settlement of microfouling organisms, including bacteria and protists, and their cascading effects on macrofoulers such as barnacles, tube worms, and corals.
The successful candidate will play a key role in understanding the ecological interactions at the micro- and macrofouling interface in tropical marine environments. The position is ideal for someone passionate about marine microbiology, biofouling ecology, and environmental monitoring, with strong skills in microbial sequencing and microscopy.
