AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI startups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts.
As Head of Strategy, Partnerships and Growth at AI Products, you will help develop our strategy to enable and accelerate AI Singapore’s SEA-LION initiative: to train foundation/large language models, as well as build datasets, evaluation benchmarks and developer enablement tools. To do this, you will establish and grow partnerships across government agencies, private sector entities and academia in Southeast Asia and globally, fostering the growth of a healthy ecosystem to sustain the SEA-LION initiative, while pushing for adoption and value creation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to the team’s overall strategy, including but not limited to partnership and growth.
Communicate strategy and value creation to stakeholders.
Lead the identification of suitable commercial use-cases, and driving their adoption of the SEA-LION team’s products.
Drive the origination, formalization and ongoing development of AI Singapore’s partnerships in Singapore and overseas, to accelerate the SEA-LION project and establish AISG as a critical node in Singapore’s AI Agenda.
Lead ongoing negotiations with entities both in Singapore and abroad to drive adoption of AI Singapore’s LLM solutions.
Establish comprehensive goals and establish systems for progress tracking, and front regular reporting and stakeholder management interaction.
Effectively manage stakeholders across the Singapore Government, including funding entities and governing bodies/committees.
As part of the leadership team, continually build a world-class team and develop a high-performance organizational culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a field such as business administration, economics, statistics or mathematics.
At least 5 years in partnership management, marketing, project management, or loyalty marketing.
Excellent understanding in customer profiling based on behaviour, demographics.
Data driven, creative, and resourceful.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to proactively identify opportunities, take initiative and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Background in IT disciplines, working with a wide variety of tools and solutions. Contribution to open-source projects a plus.
Up-to-date with AI research areas and current trends, especially their application to solving problems.
Experience as both a start-up entrepreneur and working within a large organization, experience in the public sector, and/or interest in policy issues would also be a plus.
