Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the data product team and business users to implement and maintain data platforms using leading technologies and best practices.
• Partner with product vendors to design, deploy, and integrate data platforms into the organization’s ecosystem.
• Ensure platforms comply with IT security and policy standards.
• Develop processes and monitoring tools to track platform availability.
• Serve as the solution architect for onboarding projects to data platforms for BI needs like data ingestion, visualization, and governance.
• Conduct testing on deployed platforms.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in platform support, software engineering, or data engineering.
• Expertise in building efficient, scalable applications using Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience implementing new platforms and integrating with RDBMS.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix, Shell scripting, and command-line tools.
• Familiar with data integration and visualization tools like Informatica, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Experience with technologies such as Java, Python, Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL, Denodo, and AWS.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong skills in code versioning, testing, CICD, and documentation.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at solving complex problems.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate with analysts, business users, and vendors.
