Job Title: Business Development Manager – Facility Management
Position Overview: As a Business Development Manager within the Facility Management industry, you will play a critical role in driving the company’s growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and enhancing market presence. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will take a leadership role in executing strategies that expand the company's reach in facility management services, while ensuring seamless integration across various departments and operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Business Development:
Lead the development and implementation of strategies aimed at driving growth in new markets, technologies, and service offerings within the facility management sector.
Analyze key market segments, competitors, and emerging trends in facility management services to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
Prepare strategic documents and presentations to support high-level decision-making and business development efforts.
Marketing and Business Development:
Direct the creation and execution of targeted marketing plans, including joint ventures, partnerships, and alliances to expand the company's market footprint in the facility management space.
Conduct comprehensive market research and competitor analysis to assess market opportunities and help define key value propositions for facility management services.
Manage and optimize the company’s social media presence, ensuring consistent messaging and branding for all facility management services.
Identify and pursue relevant grants, funding opportunities, and industry certifications to strengthen the company’s position in the facility management market.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Maintenance, Sales, Operations, etc.) to align business development and marketing initiatives within the facility management domain.
Ensure seamless alignment of regional offices (Malaysia and Myanmar) with corporate business development strategies, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all markets.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in business processes, customer service, and operational efficiency within the facility management domain.
Track progress against company objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business goals, regularly reporting on team performance and operational effectiveness.
Administrative Support:
Oversee the optimization of administrative procedures and systems within the facility management operations to ensure efficient office and field operations.
Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring effective contract management, compliance, and smooth operational processes, including corporate insurance.
Tender Process Management:
Lead and manage the tender process, ensuring all relevant documents, pricing, and proposals are submitted in a timely and professional manner.
Oversee the development of technical and financial proposals for facility management contracts, ensuring they meet client requirements and organizational standards.
Business Administration:
Oversee administrative functions related to facility management services, including purchase orders, procurement, and contract management, ensuring compliance with company standards and operational guidelines.
Ensure smooth operational support across facility management service contracts, from initial proposal to project execution and completion.
Contract Management:
Lead the preparation and negotiation of facility management service contracts, ensuring that terms align with company objectives and industry standards.
Collaborate with the top management to draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring they meet technical specifications and address client requirements.
Monitor contract performance and ensure that projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual terms.
Qualifications:
Relevant tertiary education in Business Administration, Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in business development, contract management, or a related area within the facility management industry.
Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational and project management skills.
Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders in the facility management sector.
