Work in Rehabilitation Department, to assist Therapist to provide Physiotherapy / Occupational / Speech therapy services to improve patients’ quality of life.
Assist Therapist in transferring, lifting and wheeling patients within organization.
Assist Head of Department to coordinate clinical education program and activities for therapy assistants.
Conduct and lead group exercises independently.
Assist Therapy Aide in-charge in conducting clinical audits.
Assist in orientation and mentoring of new Therapy Aide.
Orientate the volunteers attached to Rehab department.
To perform outcome measure assessment as guided by Therapists.
To report all accidents or potential hazards to the reporting officer.
Responsible for housekeeping, maintaining and cleaning of therapy equipment.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
Skills certificate in ‘Therapy Assistant / Aide course’ from a recognized institution.
At least with GCE “O” or “N” level certificate.
EXPERIENCE
Working in a geriatric set up, long term care or nursing home set up will be an advantage but not necessary.
Mature mid career individuals from any qualification level are welcome to apply.
Individual must be a good team player.
Able to maintain the honour, interest and dignity of the institution or organisation.
