Job Posting for Lab Technician (12-Month Contract) at ResMed
Contract period: 12 months (Full time)
E nsuring the smooth operation of our laboratory by managing the calibration and maintenance of equipment, laboratory amenities and support System Verification and Design Validation activities for ResMed products.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities
Equipment Management
Arrange and schedule equipment for calibration and maintenance according to the established timetable
Ensure that calibration and maintenance activities are carried out with minimal disruption to lab operations
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized lab environment by ensuring equipment is properly placed after calibration and maintenance activities
Keep track of lab equipment inventory and ensure all items are in good working condition
Maintain accurate records of calibration and maintenance activities
Ensure all equipment meets regulatory and safety standards
Laboratory Support
Assist in maintaining the amenity and test bench of the laboratories
Assist in preparing the laboratories for audits and CTF activities
Liaising with external supplier for calibration & maintenance services
Source and procurement of laboratory supplies
Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated, tracked and the equipment database is kept up to date in accordance with the Quality System requirements
Assist in ensuring chemical management is up to date and database is kept up to date in accordance with Quality System requirements
Be accountable on general short-termed Contractors administrative work
Keeping track of short-termed Contractor’s work schedule, request for hiring whenever needed and liaising with agency on Candidate hiring
Inducting new short-termed Contractor(s) on protocols upon hiring, ensuring training records of short-termed Contractor(s) are up-to-date
Ensuring short-termed Contractor’s timesheets are recorded accurately and submitted on time
Team Support
Provide support to Technical Officer
Work closely with Engineers/Technical Officer to assist in performing various tests
Perform routine testing
Prepare jigs and samples for testing
Document results properly and effectively
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
Required:
ITE or Diploma in Engineering
Minimum of 1 year of related working experience
Preferred:
Prior experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous
Has knowledge of calibration standards and techniques
Ability to follow detailed protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Microsoft operating systems/applications experiences
