Position Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Executive/Senior Executive for In-Park Visual plays a key role in delivering creative outputs for In-Park Marketing activations, as well as shaping the retail experience at Universal Studios Singapore by delivering captivating, brand-aligned, and engaging in-park retail concepts. The incumbent shall create in-park promotional content as well as deliver visual merchandising designs and strategies for retail stores at Universal Studios Singapore and Adventure Cove Waterpark.
Key Responsibilities
1. Visual Merchandising & Retail Design:
Create Seasonal & Thematic Displays: Design and execute visually engaging, seasonal, and themed displays that align with the park's narrative and guest experience (e.g., holiday events, new program launches, limited time offers).
Merchandise Flow & Signage: Design clear, attractive signage and merchandise flow that ensures a smooth shopping experience, easy navigation, and efficient product discovery.
Content Creation: Design promotional materials, including posters, toppers, TM badges, park map and digital content to promote retail offerings and special park events.
Visual Consistency: Ensure that all retail spaces reflect the park’s aesthetic standards, maintaining consistency across product displays, signage, and store layouts.
Collaboration: Work closely with retail teams to ensure timely and effective execution of visual displays.
2. Marketing Creative:
Collaborative Creative Process: Partner with the In Park Marketing, Events Planning, and Retail teams to develop creative concepts for new projects within the park.
Brand Consistency: Maintain and enhance the consistency of brand voice, aesthetic, and messaging across all channels.
3. Project Management:
Oversee Installations & Rollouts: Participate in the end-to-end process of new window setups, visual display rollouts, and seasonal refreshes, ensuring timely delivery within quality expectations.
Vendor & Supplier Management: Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors for props, display materials, and other creative assets.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail visual merchandising, creative direction or graphic design, with a proven track record of developing successful retail displays and marketing campaigns.
Experience in the theme park, entertainment, or hospitality industries is highly preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail, color, typography, and composition.
Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator) and other creative tools is a MUST.
Excellent understanding of consumer behavior, trends, and retail analytics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external vendors.
Education:
Diploma in Visual Merchandising, Graphic Design or a related field preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building relationships across departments and with external vendors.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to work some weekends or public holidays, where required (Off-In-Lieu will apply where applicable).
