Key Responsibilities
Process Design and Optimization:
Develop, evaluate, and implement chemical processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
Utilize process simulation tools to troubleshoot and optimize production workflows.
Lead initiatives to reduce energy consumption, waste, and production costs.
ISO Compliance:
Maintain and enhance processes to meet ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001(Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Participate in audits and drive continuous improvement in compliance with ISO systems.
Project Management:
Plan, lead, and execute engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget constraints.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
Prepare detailed project documentation, including technical drawings, schedules, and reports.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
Foster a safety-first culture and promote adherence to company safety policies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2-5 years in chemical manufacturing or process engineering roles.
Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
Understanding of chemical plant operations, unit processes, and thermodynamics.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Demonstrated team-building capabilities.
