Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive Senior Application Support Analyst with a strong background in Capital Markets to join our dynamic IT support team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of critical financial applications.
Mandatory Skill-set
Minimum 8 years in application support, preferably in Capital Markets IT;
Must have ITIL certification;
Solid understanding of capital markets, front-office/back-office systems, and trade lifecycle;
Familiarity with financial products such as Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit, and Interest Rate Derivatives;
Must have strong expertise in SQL and Unix/Linux scripting;
Must have experience of XML, PL/SQL, MQ, CFT, and Control-M;
Experience with monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, Elastic Search;
Strong communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills;
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Desired Skill-set
Exposure to IT applications handling valuation, reconciliations, payments, and confirmations;
Prior experience with predictive analysis, consulting, and escalation management.
Responsibilities
Define and implement application monitoring strategies in coordination with the build team;
Supervise and monitor daily and monthly batch processes; promptly respond to alerts and user requests;
Support overnight batches during Singapore morning and early afternoon to ensure minimal downtime;
Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on data quality, with a focus on monthly risk chain activities;
Provide Level 1 and 2 support to business users such as traders, risk managers, back-office/middle-office analysts, and data administrators;
Investigate, analyze, and manage incidents, problems, and service requests;
Ensure timely communication and resolution in alignment with SLA and KPI expectations;
Problem Management and Continuous Improvement;
Create and maintain a knowledge base for supported applications in collaboration with development and operations teams;
Work closely with the build team to assess, prioritize, and resolve recurring issues, including participation in long-term solutions;
Drive implementation of non-functional requirements like monitoring as code and incident prevention mechanisms;
Contribute to service quality improvement initiatives and promote automation where feasible.
